Beyond Your Finances, PDS CARES

Bounty at Bridge Park

September 28, 2023

It’s no secret that all of us at PDS Planning care about our community. In fact, giving back to our community and the causes we care about is at the core of who we are. Founded in 2015, PDS CARES is a charitable fund with the Columbus Foundation that puts into action our commitment to a mission of giving. PDS Planning “is committed to giving back to the communities we live and work in” explains Shareholder and Senior Financial Advisor, Jamie Menges, CFP®, CPA.

The Dublin Food Pantry is just one of the organizations that PDS Planning, and several of our individual team members have chosen to support. The Dublin Food Pantry has been connecting our neighbors in the Dublin community with food, essentials, and resources for more than 46 years, and the need is greater than ever.

Due to the increasing need, the Pantry launched a capital campaign, Everyone Eats Here to purchase and renovate a new, larger home for the Food Pantry as well as to raise funds for operational expenses associated with the move and to accommodate larger numbers. Since the early days of the campaign, PDS Planning has supported the initiative and continues to do so.

Most recently, on September 17th, Jamie Menges served as the emcee for the Dublin Food Pantry’s inaugural fundraising event, Bounty at Bridge Park. Held at the North Market in Bridge Park, it was an evening of celebration, connection, and  most importantly – impact. Jamie shared his “why” when it comes to supporting the Food Pantry and its capital campaign, a cause that his family and PDS Planning shares.

To Jamie’s way of thinking, each of us has the choice to be part of the problem or part of the solution. “The #EveryoneEatsHere campaign allows the citizens of Dublin to be part of the solution.”
