At PDS Planning, Our approach revolves around your goals and how we can help you accomplish your vision for the future. It also includes ongoing education about what we see happening in the investment markets and how it might impact you. Our blog includes regular updates on industry trends, market updates, and news about life at PDS Planning.
We’ve curated our top articles of this past year, but also be sure to check out our full blog for more resources and updates throughout the year.
Why Planning Matters “True wealth is wanting what you already have.” Today, this seems harder than ever to subscribe to. A twenty-four-hour news cycle, talking heads, social media, and a nonstop flow of eye-catching headlines gives us a heightened fear that what we have is never enough. But at PDS, we go to great lengths to build financial models accounting for income, expenses, inflation, and taxes that we are able to continually review and revise it to meet our clients’ life changes.
Celebrating Jim Hamilton – “For us, it’s not about that he worked here, it’s about who he is.” PDS Planning Managing Principal and Wealth Manager, Rita Itsell explains why celebrating Jim Hamilton and his induction into the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame was so important to the team. Bob Hamilton, one of Jim’s brothers, was a founding member of PDS Planning, and following his coaching career at Upper Arlington, Jim joined the PDS team in the 1990s.
State of the Company At the end of 2021, PDS closed our 36th year in business and took time to evaluate the state of the company. It was a year that saw us recognized by Columbus Business First as the 9th largest fee-only financial planning firm in Ohio and as the #46 fastest growing RIA firm in the country by Financial Advisor Magazine. We also received the Corporate Citizen Award for being one of the top 100 charitable organizations in Ohio.
Team Spotlights – Since 1985, PDS Planning has sought to eliminate the stress often associated with financial planning. But we also understand that our work goes beyond business and has a personal impact on families and legacies. That’s why we are proud to have a team of forward-thinking leaders, expert planners, and staff who approach financial decisions the same way we approach investing our own money and work to create personal relationships along the way.
